Description
When wounded, Spruce trees create a self-healing substance, pitch. The pitch seeps from the wound, and forms amber jewels sealing the trunk from harm. On winter walks, this pitch is sweetly harvested from the side of a wounded tree making sure to leave a coating for the trees own protection. Spruce pitch harvested from the outside of spruce trees is steeped in oil and blended with natural beeswax to create a naturally antibiotic, antimicrobial, and anti fungal cream. The sweet smell of pitch when mixed with beeswax provides a soothing, aromatic salve for sore or weathered hands.
