Alaska Horse Trekking Vacations
Guided use of the horses with a personalized trek through the foothills of the Alaska Range. Horses carry the gear while you travel unencumbered by foot. Trips include side horseback riding exploration from backcountry camps.
Includes all transportation from the road system to and from Apricity, lodging at the homestead, all hearty meals and snacks, personalized guiding, and exclusive access to the homestead.
Homestead Vacation Day Rates
We welcome visitors for vacations less than 5 days. For these visits, we offer day rates of $400/solo traveller/day and for groups of 2 or more, $350/person/day.
These rates include lodging, all food, and guiding. Transportation to the homestead is not included, though we are happy to arrange it for you.

Views while traveling to our Wilderness Homestead. We arrange all travel both ways from the road system and the bush homestead. Flights can be scheduled from services in Anchorage in Talkeetna.

What to bring?

Baggage weight is an important consideration while travelling in small planes. Please do not bring more than 50 lbs of gear per person

We get a lot of questions about what to pack for your Apricity Vacation. Here is a list of recommended clothing and gear.

  • 1-2 Changes of clothes, including one pair of non-cotton pants
  • Pair of Long Underwear
  • Rain Jacket and Pants/Bibs
  • Extra pairs of Thick Socks
  • 1-2 Extra Warm Layers, avoid cotton insulation
  • Swimsuit
  • Warm Hat

Bouldering: Those who want to include bouldering during their stay may want climbing shoes

Fishing: Fishing License, Hip boots or Waders if desired, Fishing Gear (we have some at the homestead, but feel free to bring your own!)
