Alaska Wilderness Riding Vacation Package

Ride through the foothills and over the ridges of the Alaska Range on Gaited Icelandic Horses. The trip is curated to your riding goals, adventure level whether you want to do day rides and sleep in a cabin or strike out into the bush on a pack trip. Packages include all transportation to and from the road system and the Homestead. Also included: comfortable lodging, all hearty meals and snacks, personalized guiding, and exclusive access to the homestead. Please note: maximum rider weight is 200lbs.

Rates: Five night riding packages are $4,000 per person for parties of 2 or more or $4,800 for solo travelers. Additional days can be added at the day rate of $400 per person.

Pack Trips away from the homestead are available at no extra cost

Wilderness Homestead Vacation Package

Includes all transportation from the road system to Apricity, simple dry cabin accommodations, all hearty meals and snacks, one-on-one guiding, and sole access to the homestead. For the non-equestrians who want to hike, backpack, or just hang out in the most beautiful, peaceful spot in Alaska.

Rates: Five night custom homestead adventures are $3400 per person for parties of 2 or more or $4200 for solo travelers. Additional days can be added at the day rate of $400 per person.

Getting Here

Views while traveling to our Wilderness Homestead are astounding. We can arrange all travel both ways from the road system and the bush homestead. Flights can be scheduled from Anchorage, Mcgrath or Talkeetna. Allowing you to make a loop, see more country and to easily integrate a visit to the homestead into your Alaska itinerary. Charters leaving directly from Wasilla, Fairbanks and others are also possible, for an extra fee. The most commonly used (and highly experienced) charter services are Sheldon Air Service from Talkeetna and Fly907 from Anchorage. Depending on the schedule, your return flight may drop you in Talkeetna or Mcgrath, where planes, trains or buses are easily available to return to Anchorage.

Day Rates

We welcome visitors for vacations less than 5 days. We offer day rates of $500/solo traveler/day and for groups of 2 or more, $400/person/day.

These rates include lodging, all food, and guiding. Transportation to the homestead is NOT included when booking via day rate, though we are happy to arrange it for you. Round trip bush plane charters to the homestead often cost over $2500 depending on the model of aircraft chartered and other factors.

Winter Adventures

Winter is a special time. Guests arrive and depart via ski equipped bush planes. These packages are only available during the typically glorious month of March and the first week of April. For those interested in a shorter winter stay, please contact Morgan directly. Riding is generally not available in winter, unless it is a low snow year.
